Rooted in reuse; driven by inclusion

Tech-Takeback Ltd started with a simple but powerful idea: reuse technology to protect the planet and help people. From day one, their mission was about more than recycling: it was about making sure everyone could access the digital world.

Over the past 10 years, Tech-Takeback Ltd has collected thousands of unwanted devices, securely wiped them, and given them a second life. Many of those devices went to people who needed them most: students without laptops, jobseekers trying to get back on their feet, families struggling to stay connected.

But as demand for digital inclusion surged, one thing became clear: a commercial enterprise could never meet the growing need. Too many people were being left behind, and the scale of the challenge required a new approach.

Tech-Takeback Foundation is a dedicated charity, separate to Tech-Takeback Ltd, focused entirely on closing the digital divide. This means we can:

  • secure funding and partnerships to expand our reach

  • distribute laptops free of charge to those facing barriers to education, employment, and connection

  • deliver measurable social impact alongside environmental benefits.

Our roots remain the same - reuse, sustainability, inclusion - but our structure gives us the power to do more. Today,
Tech-Takeback Foundation is here to make sure no one is excluded from the digital world.

Join us in building a future where technology connects, instead of divides.
